Acceptance of Terms

By signing the Vehicle Rental Agreement, the renter confirms that he/she has read, understood, and accepted these Rental Terms & Conditions.

Driver Eligibility

Minimum age: 23 years.

-Driver’s license must be valid for at least one (1) year.

-Valid passport or government-issued identification is required.

-T&M RENTA CAR reserves the right to refuse any rental.

Authorized Drivers

Only drivers listed and approved in the Vehicle Rental Agreement may operate the vehicle. Unauthorized drivers are strictly prohibited. terms

Vehicle Use

Illegal activities:

-Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

-Racing, speed testing, reckless driving, or off-road driving.

-Commercial transport without written authorization.

-Towing or pushing another vehicle.

-Transporting hazardous or illegal materials.

-Leaving Curaçao without written authorization.

GPS & Vehicle Security

For security purposes, vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking, alarm systems, and engine immobilization (kill switch) technology. By renting the vehicle, the renter acknowledges and accepts the use of these security systems.

Safe Driving Policy

The renter agrees to drive responsibly and comply with all traffic laws of Curaçao. The maximum permitted speed under this rental agreement is 80 km/h (49.7 miles).

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received. Refueling and service charges may apply if the fuel level is lower upon return.

Cleanliness Policy

Smoking, vaping, pets or animals, and sexual activity inside the vehicle are strictly prohibited. Excessive cleaning resulting from stains, smoke odor, pet hair, sand, mud, or bodily fluids may result in additional cleaning charges.

Vehicle Care

The renter is responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle and returning it in the same condition as received, except for normal wear and tear. The renter is also responsible for the replacement cost of any items, equipment, or accessories that are missing or damaged upon return.

Insurance & Liability

The rental vehicle is insured under a WA Extra policy. The renter remains responsible for traffic fines, negligence, reckless driving, contract violations, and any damages or costs not covered by the applicable insurance policy.

Accident, Theft & Emergencies

-Immediately contact FORENSYS by calling 9233.

-Do not move the vehicle unless instructed by the authorities.

-Immediately notify T&M RENTA CAR.

-Cooperate fully with any investigation.

Traffic Fines

The renter is fully responsible for all traffic tickets, parking fines, towing charges, and other penalties incurred during the rental period.

Mechanical Breakdown

If a mechanical problem occurs, immediately contact T&M RENTA CAR. Unauthorized repairs are not permitted without prior approval.

Lost Keys

Lost, damaged, or unreturned vehicle keys may result in replacement and programming charges.

 Security Deposit

The security deposit may be used to cover vehicle damage, missing fuel, traffic fines, excessive cleaning, contract violations, unpaid charges, or other outstanding balances. Any remaining balance will be refunded after the vehicle inspection according to company policy.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Personal Belongings

T&M RENTA CAR is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle during or after the rental period.

Company Rights

T&M RENTA CAR reserves the right to refuse service, terminate the rental agreement for policy violations, repossess the vehicle when permitted by law or contract, and recover unpaid charges, damages, or losses.

Privacy

Personal information collected during the rental process will be used solely for rental administration, legal compliance, and customer service, and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Governing Law

These Rental Terms & Conditions and the Vehicle Rental Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Curaçao.
